Back in 1992. I was in the chorus in the play South Pacific at our local theater. Such great memories. I would love to do it again!

This October it will be 11 years that we've lived at our house. What's funny is that we ended up buying the house from a classmate that I hadn't seen since college in 1994. Small world. Sadly it doesn't feel like home yet. Just a house. My huband is a total pack-rat. For 8 years we have only been using half of our house. The entire bottom half is his "stuff". ;( Our kids have never enjoyed the living room downstairs as it should be enjoyed. You can hardly move down there. We haven't parked in our garage in 8 1/2 years. Ugh. Sorry to rant. Hope everyone has a great Labor Day!!!!!

The most constant ritual in my life is when my kids go to bed. It started when I was a little girl, now it continues on with my 8 year old boys. Here it is word for word.
"Ok, Mom." (the boys say to let me know that they are ready to hear "the thing" as they like to call it.)
"Ok. Good night, God Bles you, seeing you in the morning, sweet dreams, I love you Max and Carson!" (we are all in bed at this point hence the yelling from one room to the next. lol)
"I love you too Mom!" (they say in unison)
"Good night Max. Good night Carson!"
"Good night!"
I love it! To this day my Dad still doesn't have the cadence down right. lol. It's not for his lack of trying though. It has always been a Mom thing. Just ask my husband, he doesn't remember how it goes either. Even though he hears it every night just like my Dad use to.

My son Max. Right now he is getting a nebulizer treatment for his Asthma. At 8 years old he has had a somewhat rocky road. He was diagnosed with Asthma when he was just one. We found out he had Type 1 Diabetes this past Oct. and this Jan. is was discovered that he is a carrier of a Cystic Fibrosis gene. Whew. The CF gene diagnosis doesn't affect him in anyway. Thank God! He has been a great young man dealing with his Asthma and Diabetes. Knowing when he is wheezing or when he is weak due to low blood sugar. It amazes me how much he knows! Rarely does he complain about any of it. I'm so very proud of him! His twin brother Carson also brings me joy. He is totally me when I was that age expect in boy form! Crazy, silly, always making people laugh!!
